Hotel Detail

This is a ryokan, not a western hotel with a Japanese name. Shoes off. Tatami. A garden you can sit beside in the morning. Breakfast is set and early. Dinner can be booked in-house if you want to skip the walk after dark.

Gion is busy by 10am. Stay here so you see the lanes before the groups. Pack light. Rooms do not have space for seven outfits. A rain jacket is enough for most weeks.
