India is too large for one itinerary. A Journea first trip stays in the north: Delhi, Agra, and Jaipur, with trains or a private car between them. That Golden Triangle is familiar for a reason. It is a complete week if you do not add a fourth city.
Expect crowds at the headline sites, excellent vegetarian food, and days that start early. A guide who can cut a queue and a hotel that is quiet at night matter more than another monument.
Delhi is two cities in one: old lanes and wide new streets. Agra is the Taj at sunrise if we can book it. Jaipur is palaces and a pink-city evening. We keep one afternoon in each place unscheduled so the trip can breathe.
If you want Varanasi or a Rajasthan extension, that is extra nights, not a tighter Golden Triangle.
Days are walking and standing, with car transfers between cities. Forts have stairs and uneven stone. Sunrise Taj is a short walk in low light. Comfortable shoes and a light scarf for sun and some sites are the kit.
A cooking evening in Jaipur is the usual extra. We do not stack activities after a long drive day.
