The Maldives is a transfer and then a stop. Once you are on the island or boat, the plan is swim, eat, and look at the water. Journea is honest about that. This is not a touring destination. It is a place to stay still.
Expect a seaplane or speedboat after Male, house-reef snorkel, and meals that are mostly at the resort. Pack reef shoes, a rash guard, and very little else.
A house reef you can walk into is worth more than a packed excursion list. We still book one boat snorkel or a sunset cruise if you want movement. The rest of the week should be unstructured.
If you want a liveaboard instead of a resort, say so. That is a different booking and a different packing list.
Most activity is in the water. Basic swim confidence is enough for a house reef. Boat trips can include currents; we match the outing to the group. Diving is available on request with a certified operator, not as a surprise add-on.
Sun is strong even on breeze days. Reapply sunscreen and wear a shirt in the water if you burn.

A transfer, then stay still. House reef, one boat outing, no touring circuit.
Five to seven nights is the usual stay. Longer only if you are combining two houses or adding Male time, which most people do not need.
Transfers are part of the cost and the day. We publish them before you book so the last flight and the last boat actually connect.
