Thailand is two trips in one if you let it be. Bangkok is food, temples, and river boats. Then you choose north (Chiang Mai) or south (islands). Journea does not try to do both in a week. The transfer time is the holiday you would have spent in the water or a night market.
Expect heat, excellent street food, and a dress code at temples. A light scarf and sandals you can slip off will be used every day.
Two nights in Bangkok is enough for the river, one palace or wat cluster, and a food evening. After that, fly. Chiang Mai is temples and a slower old city. The islands are boats, snorkel days, and earlier nights.
Tell us if you want nightlife or if you want the opposite. Those two Thailand trips do not share a hotel list.
Island itineraries include a longtail or speedboat day. Bring reef-safe sunscreen and a rash guard. Bangkok days are walking and river ferries. Chiang Mai can add a short countryside outing if you want time outside the old walls.
None of this is a trek unless you book a northern hiking add-on.

Bangkok energy, then islands at a slower speed. Not both coasts in one week.
Eight to ten days is the comfortable shape: city plus one second place. Fourteen days is when a third stop starts to make sense. We would rather you swim more than check in more.
