Egypt rewards an itinerary that is not all temples and not all Cairo. A Nile cruise between Luxor and Aswan gives you the big sites with a cabin to come back to, instead of packing every night. Days start early for the heat, then the river does the moving.
Expect strong sun, modest dress at religious sites, and guides who have walked the same courtyards a thousand times and still know which corner is in shade. Drink water, wear a hat, and leave room in the day for doing nothing on deck.
Karnak, Luxor Temple, the Valley of the Kings, and Philae sit on a logical river line. We visit them in order so the history reads as a sequence, not a checklist. Photography is easier before the large groups arrive.
Evenings on the boat are for a short briefing and an early night. The next site is usually before breakfast heat.
These are walking days, not hikes. Stone floors, some stairs, and a lot of standing in courtyards. A comfortable shoe matters more than a trekking boot. If you prefer fewer steps, say so before the Valley of the Kings visit and we can adjust the tomb list.
A light scarf is useful for sun and for sites that ask for covered shoulders.

Add Cairo at the start or the end, not both, unless you have extra nights. The pyramids and the museum are a full day; trying to squeeze them between flights is how the trip starts to feel like work.
Journea Nile departures usually run four days on the water with optional city nights either side.
