How to walk Lisbon in two days

Lisbon punishes a tight schedule. Hills are real. Use a tram or metro to gain height, then walk down through a neighborhood. Alfama in the morning, a long lunch, and one viewpoint at dusk is a better day than four miradouros.

Day two can be Belém or the river without another castle. Eat custard tarts where the line is short, not where the bus parks. Drink water. The tiles are pretty and the sun is not gentle.

If you add Sintra, give it a full day or skip it. A half day there is a queue with a palace at the end.
