Book the scenic seats, pack light, and let the window do the work.
Swiss trains are the itinerary. Reserve a window seat on the longer legs. Travel with a bag you can lift onto the rack without blocking the aisle. Eat in the dining car once so the trip feels like a day, not a commute.
Do not try to see every pass. One mountain railway and two towns is a week. Interlaken, Lucerne, or a lake stop gives you walks between rides. Weather will hide a peak. The valleys are still the point.
Buy the pass that matches your days. Point-to-point tickets win if you only make two hops. Check platform changes. They are frequent and clearly marked.
